Brian Wilson was born and raised in Dallas, Texas...started playing soccer at the age of 4 in the YMCA system...moved on to recreational soccer at the age of 5, playing for his father for 3 years...made his way to the Select division playing with the Gunners Soccer Club for 4 years...progressed into the Classic League in Dallas playing with Storm '74; winning various tournaments nationwide, becoming the first American team to play in the Super Group of Dallas Cup and was widely regarded as one of the best teams to come out of Texas...a mainstay on the North Texas State Soccer Team for 6 years, attending regional camps and ODP events...senior season played for the Comets '75(winners of 6 consecutive State Cups), advancing through the State and Regional tournaments eventually ending with a 3rd place finish at Nationals in 1993...was selected to the All-Region team senior year in High School...received a scholarship to The University of North Carolina-Charlotte, 2 year starter...sophomore year team was ranked 2nd in the nation going on a 14 game winning streak to end the year...transferred to The University of Nevada Las Vegas for junior year, 2 year starter...drafted to play Indoor Soccer in 1997, but opted to try his luck with outdoor...attempted to get to Europe and play professionally, forced to give that up due to injuries.
Brian brings a great love and passion for the game that is obvious from the minute you meet him, and undoubtedly his enthusiasm for soccer is infectious to those around him.
