2001… A Herman Trophy candidate, he captained the top-ranked Mustangs to a 21-1 record … Helped SMU to the NCAA Quarterfinals where they suffered a 1-0 loss to St. Johns … Led SMU to the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Regular Season and Tournament Championships … 2000… A first team NSCAA first-team All-America he helped led the Mustangs to the College Cup Semifinals … Was also a NSCAA All-Midwest Region first team selection ... Named MVC Defensive Player of the Year and first-team All-MVC ... Played in 23 games, including 22 starts ... Fifth on the squad in scoring with nine goals and three assists ... Coaching Career
Carl is the founder and director of coaching for the Dallas Mustangs Soccer Club and Mustangs F.C. He currently holds a USSF "D" license.
